Dick and Pat Crowder

A word from us

Pat and I see a great need for ministry to children on their level.  We teach Bible truths through the use of puppets, visual scriptures, stories and games.  These use not only a child’s eyes and ears but also their energy.   Experts agree that people (including children) remember 90% of what they see, hear and touch. (interact with)  We remember 5-10% of what we hear.  (no interaction)   Our desire is to plant God’s word in their hearts to grow with them as they mature.  We know the need in Latin America.  Our emphasis is on Honduras but we work in Mexico and Guatemala as well.

Pat and I have been working in Honduras since 1985 in agreement with other missionaries and churches to establish children’s ministry in existing churches.  We would like to see more national men and women take leadership in children’s ministry.  Just imagine what any country could become if this entire generation of kids were born again and spirit-filled.  We took Jesus at His word when He said “ Let the children come to Me and do not forbid them.” Mark

We have been working with children since 1972. We began our work at Huffman Assembly of God in Birmingham, Al.  We served as children’s pastor, with other associate duties, at Boaz Assembly of God for three and a half years. I graduated from Southeastern Collage of the Assemblies of God in 1978.  Pat and I finished language school at Kings Way Missionary Institute in McAllen, Texas,  December of 1983.

We do Kid’s Crusades, teachers training and Missions meetings while in the U.S.  In Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras we do kid’s meetings and leadership training.
